Our founder, Ayo, noticed that traditional hangers had not been changed in a long time and that they caused creasing, stretching, bumps or simply would not hold her clothes. She wanted to see if other people were having a similar experience. She conducted a survey and it revealed a common narrative—other people were going through the same issues with their own hangers! Inspired by the idea to create better hangers and fuse fashion with social impact came Hangio. Ayo knew that people cared about their clothes and wanted them to be properly taken care of. With this, she set out to create a hanger that would revolutionize the way people stored clothes in their closet and solve the problems that come with the traditional hanger design. Ayo is motivated by the opportunity to solve the problems she sees and knows she can positively impact. She is starting with the most basic but arguably the most fundamental element of the closet—the hanger.
